Hans Jonkman présente ensuite le résultat de ces développements et expose quelques exemples issus de la pratique de la Cour permanente d arbitrage. 
330 |a In his course, Hans Jonkman, former Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, presents the principal characteristics of the Court, which underwent a revitalizing change during the last two decades of the twentieth century. According to Hans Jonkman, the creation of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in 1899 was the result of a compromise. He starts his course with retracing the history of the Court's creation. In what follows, he describes the major impulses given to the PCA during the 1980s (notably the adoption of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules) and 1990s. In the last part of the course, the results of these developments are presented and examples are given from the dispute settlement activities of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
