Chaque accord apparu au cours de l histoire a été contredit par la génération suivante de juristes. L auteur développe son cours en présentant successivement la révolution américaine et ses conséquences, les conflits de lois devant les juridictions, le conflit de loi bilatéral et son résultat matériel, le droit public étranger et le conflit de lois. Il s intéresse enfin dans son dernier chapitre aux relations entre la compétence juridictionnelle, le choix du droit applicable, la reconnaissance et l exécution des décisions. | ||

History has shown that once any agreement has been attained, it is challenged by the next generation of conflicts lawyers. The author develops his course around the themes of the American Revolution and its consequences, conflict of laws in the courts, the bilateral conflict rule and the substantive result, and foreign public law and conflict of laws. In the last chapter he examines the relation between adjudicatory jurisdiction, choice of law, and recognition and enforcement of decisions. | ||
